Superconding qubits are macroscopic devices that exhibit quantum behaviour. This has advantages but also comes with a certain level of “messiness”. I work on optimal control techniques that can allow for precise use of such devices and I am developing a tools to quickly and accurately “diagnose” the origin of error so as to improve both control and fabrication of the devices.
