The second QuSCo school was originally planned as a live event. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 situation put a wrench in our plan. The event will take place fully online. To avoid pinning everyone on their desk for several hours a day, we have split the event into two parts. The first part, dedicated to the scientific talks, will take place on the 21st and 22nd of September, while the second part, dedicated to the “Industry sessions”, will take place during the week from the 19th to 23rd October. We have invited external speakers to learn about recent developments in the fields of machine learning, quantum sensing and the optimization of quantum operations and algorithms. Representatives from industry will provide insight into the commercial aspects of quantum computing and how to place a product on the market. The students will have to chance to deepen their knowledge on the protection of intellectual property, on programming a quantum computer in the cloud and on structuring their outreach activities.
