How to think about diamonds, differently.
Nimba's first blog entry!...
Primarily, my work includes development of control software for confocal microscope based single spin manipulation setup, test and implementation of optimal control (closed and open loop), and quantum sensing with single NV centers in diamond. It is necessary to efficiently address and control these spin defects in diamonds in order utilize the potential of single NV centers with an unprecedented spatial resolution for nanoscale sensing. Such quantum sensors have the potential to revolutionize our sensing methods in the field of life sciences, material sciences and material studies. In addition, exploring quantum control with these single spin systems give us an opportunity to explore the realm of quantum physics.
Within the QuSCo network, we are also constantly working on outreach and dissemination of our research work with a belief that even a non-expert can understand the complexities of quantum physics, please do check out my blogs entry and video below to learn about what we do with diamonds in the lab.
