In Europe, there is a gap of an estimated 200,000 specialists in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) necessitating a 15-25% increase in STEM students. A crucial contribution to facilitating such an increase is to communicate front line technological research much more efficiently and engagingly.
To achieve this, we will continuously involve the ESRs in the development of a specialized outreach portfolio for their particular project.
The ESRs’ personal outreach portfolio will contain learning trajectories, computer games, graphical visualizations, video and text materials, popular science articles, interviews with local news-papers, as well as guided lab tours.
